Zendaya and Tom Holland are continuing their Spider-Man love story off-screen! The newly engaged couple recently attended a family gathering in Oakland, where Zendaya’s loved ones gave Holland a fitting nickname—Spider-Man.
In a video posted to X (formerly Twitter), a party guest asked Zendaya how to say “I love you” in sign language. She signed the phrase, and the person then turned the camera to Holland, saying, “Oh, hold on, let me get Spider-Man.”
The nickname popped up again when Holland was filmed holding a baby, with the video caption calling him “The real Spider-Man. Facts.” He was also seen dancing with Zendaya’s friends and capturing sweet moments of her on his phone.
The couple got engaged over the holidays, with Zendaya spotted wearing a large diamond ring at the 2025 Golden Globes on January 5. A source told PEOPLE, “He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one.”
Another insider added that while close friends knew an engagement was coming, they didn’t know when. The couple even marked their love with matching tattoos—a small “t” under Zendaya’s armpit and a discreet “z” on Holland’s ribs.
Although they’re not rushing into wedding plans, the couple is cherishing their engagement while focusing on work.
Both are set to star in Christopher Nolan’s next film, an adaptation of The Odyssey, alongside Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron.
