You Netflix Series

Netflix has confirmed that ‘You’ will return for its fifth and final season on April 24, 2025. A first-look image of Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg was also revealed.

Joe Returns to the U.S.

At the end of Season 4, Joe left London and returned to the U.S., now backed by his wealthy partner Kate. With access to power and resources, Joe’s dangerous habits could become even more unstoppable.

Major Changes Behind the Scenes

Showrunner Sera Gamble is stepping down after four seasons. She will stay as an executive producer while Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo take over as co-showrunners. Gamble said she is proud of the series and excited to see how Joe’s story ends.

What to Expect in Season 5

Joe now has the money and influence to cover up his crimes. But loose ends remain—Marienne, Nadia, and Ellie are still out there. Could one of them bring him down?

There’s also speculation that Joe may finally become the hunted. With his story making headlines, will someone start stalking him?

New Cast Members

Netflix has announced Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, and Griffin Matthews will join the final season. Brewer plays Bronte, a playwright who works for Joe. Camp plays twin sisters-in-law to Joe, while Matthews plays his new brother-in-law.

Filming Wrapped in August 2024

Filming for Season 5 began in March 2024 and wrapped in August. Netflix confirmed the release date in January 2025.
