Netflix has confirmed that “Enola Holmes 3” is on the way. Filming will begin in April 2025. Philip Barantini will direct this new movie, known for his work on popular series and films.
The “Enola Holmes” series is based on Nancy Springer’s novels. The first movie came out in 2020 and was a big hit, watched for nearly 190 million hours on Netflix.
The sequel, released in November 2022, also performed well, with over 158 million hours viewed.
The third film will have a darker tone than the previous ones. It will focus on Enola as she opens her detective agency in London.
Sherlock Holmes will have a new roommate, Dr. John Watson. The villain Moriarty may return as the main antagonist.
Millie Bobby Brown will reprise her role as Enola Holmes. Other cast members like Louis Partridge and Henry Cavill are also expected to return. However, scheduling conflicts could affect Cavill’s participation.
Filming is expected to last about 12 weeks, wrapping up around July 2025. The production will take place in various locations across the UK.
If filming goes as planned, “Enola Holmes 3” could be available on Netflix by late 2025 or early 2026.
