Meta has issued a strong warning against leaks following the wide dissemination of CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s recent comments during an all-hands meeting.

In an internal memo, Meta’s Chief Information Security Officer, Guy Rosen, stated that the company will take appropriate action, including firing employees who leak confidential information.

Rosen emphasized the negative impact of leaks, stating that they not only compromise security but also demoralize teams and waste valuable time. He pointed out that the company had already terminated employees for leaking sensitive documents in the past.

Zuckerberg, during the all-hands meeting, expressed frustration, saying he would reduce transparency going forward due to the persistent leaks. “We try to be really open and then everything I say leaks. It sucks,” he said.

Meta’s Chief Technology Officer, Andrew Bosworth, also acknowledged the situation in an internal post, sharing his own sadness about the format changes but agreeing that it was the right move.

Meta’s stance is clear: leaks will lead to serious consequences, with the company doubling down on protecting sensitive information.
