WhatsApp has stopped supporting older iPhones with its latest beta update, requiring iOS 15.1 or newer to run the app.
This change means that iPhone 5s, 6, and 6 Plus users will no longer be able to install the latest WhatsApp beta.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp beta version 25.2.10.72 now blocks installation on devices running iOS versions older than 15.1.
Users with outdated iPhones must either update their OS (if supported) or upgrade to a newer device to continue using WhatsApp.

Currently, WhatsApp supports iPhones running iOS 12 or newer, but this will change on May 5, 2025. From that date, only iPhones with iOS 15.1 or later will be able to run the app.
This means iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus—which do not support iOS 15.1—will lose access to WhatsApp entirely. These models, launched over a decade ago, have already been discontinued by Apple.
