Latest WhatsApp Update Brings Emoji Favorites and Custom Stickers

WhatsApp is introducing updates aimed at making messaging more intuitive and creative. Starting today, users can double-tap to react to messages, with their most-used emojis displayed in a scrolling pop-out menu.

This replaces the previous generic selection, making it quicker to use favorite reactions. Other emoji options remain accessible via the plus symbol on the reaction bar.

In addition, WhatsApp is enhancing its visual tools for chats. The 30 visual effects introduced for video calls last year are now available for photos and videos in chats, allowing users to add filters directly within the app.

Sticker packs can also be shared more easily, and Android users can now create custom selfie stickers by tapping the sticker icon. iOS support for this feature is expected soon.

These updates reflect WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to streamline communication and offer users more ways to personalize their messaging experience.
