Samsung is expected to launch four Galaxy S25 smartphones this year at its Unpacked event on January 22.
Alongside the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, the new addition is the Galaxy S25 Slim, a model rumored to bridge the gap between the Plus and Ultra versions.
As its name suggests, the Galaxy S25 Slim will be thinner than most smartphones. At just 6.5mm thick, it will stand out in a market where most phones are between 8-9mm thick. While there are no leaked images of the phone yet, insiders say its design could inspire the next-generation Galaxy S26 series.
The Galaxy S25 Slim will feature high-end hardware, much like the other models in the lineup. It is rumored to have a 6.66-inch display, the same size as the S25+. Powering the phone will likely be Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, ensuring top performance.
The phone’s slim design might raise concerns about battery life, but leaks suggest a capacity between 4,700 and 5,000mAh. Despite the compact size, this could offer decent battery performance, thanks to Samsung’s optimization.
One of the standout features of the Galaxy S25 Slim is its camera system. It is expected to borrow heavily from the S25 Ultra, including a 200MP ISOCELL HP5 main sensor. The ultrawide and telephoto cameras will use 50MP sensors, with the telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom using Samsung’s All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) design for compact spacing.
The S25 Slim will skip the second telephoto camera found on the Ultra, but its camera system still promises flagship-level performance.
The Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be priced between the S25+ and the Ultra, making it a premium option with competitive pricing.
However, it might not be available for purchase immediately after the Unpacked event. Reports suggest it will launch in Q2 2025, giving Samsung time to generate excitement for the new model.
With the Unpacked event just around the corner, excitement is building for Samsung’s new lineup. The Galaxy S25 Slim could be a bold move in the smartphone market, offering flagship specs in a sleek, ultra-thin design.
Stay tuned for official details on January 22.
