AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs have been listed by a Spanish retailer, NeoByte, ahead of their official launch.

The listing reveals details about Gigabyte’s AIB (Add-In-Board) models and hints at pricing, though the prices appear to be placeholders.

Gigabyte Models and Pricing Details

NeoByte listed three variants of the RX 9070 GPUs:

  1. Gigabyte AORUS Radeon RX 9070 XT – Priced at €1,119.99.
  2. Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC – Priced at €1,069.99.
  3. Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 Gaming OC (non-XT) – Priced at €889.99.

These prices are significantly higher than expected. AMD has hinted at an MSRP between $300 and $1,000, suggesting these listings may be placeholders.

Another retailer, Netcodex in the Philippines, listed the RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16GB at $530, which aligns more closely with AMD’s anticipated pricing strategy.

Specifications and Performance

While exact specs weren’t detailed in the listings, the RX 9070 series is part of AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture, aimed at competing with NVIDIA’s 70-class and 80-class GPUs. Rumors suggest:

  • RX 9070 XT will deliver significant performance improvements.
  • These GPUs could feature 16GB of GDDR6 memory, targeting high-performance gaming at competitive prices.

Aggressive Pricing Expected

AMD’s Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions, Frank Azor, emphasized that the RX 9070 series will cater to the mainstream segment, with competitive pricing designed to challenge NVIDIA’s dominance. If priced aggressively, these GPUs could disrupt the market, offering better value in the $300-$1,000 range.

What to Expect Next

The RX 9070 GPUs are expected to launch officially in late January 2025. AMD has already shipped review samples, indicating that a full reveal is imminent. The mainstream GPU market is set to heat up, with NVIDIA, AMD, and even Intel vying for dominance in the space.

Stay tuned for more updates as AMD’s RDNA 4 lineup reshapes the GPU landscape.
