Comedian Samay Raina, best known for his viral YouTube show India’s Got Latent, has launched a dedicated app for the series.

The app, which aims to transition into an independent OTT platform, has already climbed to the Top 50 on Google Play Store and secured the No. 1 spot on Apple’s App Store within 24 hours of its release.

The app includes all episodes of India’s Got Latent, where users can also apply to participate, connect their YouTube memberships (starting at ₹59 per month), or discover rising stars through its “Stars of Latent” feature.

Unfiltered Content and Unique Shows

Samay’s platform promises uncensored content, offering creators complete freedom, unbound by brand restrictions or censorship.

Alongside India’s Got Latent, the app features original shows like:

  • Kavya Samrat, a poetry series in collaboration with Tape A Tale.
  • A rap show starring Delhi-based hip-hop duo Seedhe Maut and YouTuber Rohan Cariappa.

A Parody with a Twist

India’s Got Latent is a parody of India’s Got Talent and draws inspiration from the American comedy show Kill Tony.

Contestants rate their own performances, and if their score matches the judges’ average, they win the ticket revenue and a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.

Phenomenal Success

With 25 million average views per episode and high-profile guests like Siddhant Chaturvedi, Badshah, and Rakhi Sawant, the show has become a massive hit.

Sponsorships from brands like Spinny and POP UPI further highlight its growing influence.

Raina’s move to keep the app free from brand-imposed guidelines has been applauded as a bold step towards creator independence.

Fans are eagerly anticipating how this venture will redefine content creation in India.
