Nintendo fans are buzzing with excitement as rumors about the Nintendo Switch 2 continue to flood the internet.
The latest revelation comes from accessories maker Genki, who displayed a mockup of the Switch 2 at CES 2025.
This mockup, which is allegedly based on a real Switch 2 system, has only fueled speculation about the upcoming console.
Genki’s representative explained that the company had seen and used the real Switch 2 system to design accessories.
While they didn’t provide details on the technical specs, they confirmed some physical features of the console.
These include magnetic clips for attaching Joy-Cons, metallic SL/SR buttons, and a USB port at the top for handheld charging.
The mockup suggests that the new Switch will be larger than the current model, with a 10.5″ width, 8″ screen, and a design that fits into the old Nintendo Switch dock, though it may not be compatible with it.
The Joy-Cons, however, won’t attach directly to the new system, but they are expected to work wirelessly.
Despite the media attention, the Genki representative was surprised by the level of interest in their mockup, stating that they didn’t expect such a reaction.
While this mockup aligns with several recent rumors, Nintendo has yet to officially confirm any details about the Switch 2. A formal announcement is expected in the first quarter of 2025.
