Samsung is rolling out a free upgrade for Galaxy S24 users, bringing a significant speed boost and several new features with the One UI 7 software.

The update, currently in its third beta phase, promises to enhance the user experience without the need to buy a new device.

One of the most notable improvements is a faster fingerprint unlocking speed.

According to leaks, the new update will make unlocking the S24 series phones quicker than before. This change, though small, will be appreciated by users who unlock their phones hundreds of times a day.

In addition to the speed boost, One UI 7 introduces several UI changes, including a vertical app drawer and a new icon for Galaxy AI.

The update also addresses issues from previous versions, such as problems with lock screen shortcuts and volume key operations.

Samsung has also improved the Now Bar on the lockscreen, added new sounds for unlocking and charging, and updated the settings in Game Booster mode.

The One UI 7 update is expected to be fully rolled out soon after the Galaxy S25 series launch on January 22.

While not a groundbreaking update, the changes to unlocking speed and user interface will enhance the overall experience for Galaxy S24 users.
