Apple is expanding its iPhone driver’s license feature to seven more U.S. states. This feature allows residents to add their driver’s license or state ID to the Wallet app on iPhones and Apple Watches.

It offers a contactless and convenient way to show proof of identity or age at airports, businesses, and select apps.

Currently, the feature is available in states like Arizona, Maryland, and California. In 2025, more states are expected to roll it out, including Montana, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The feature is also available in Puerto Rico and will soon work with Japan’s My Number Card.

Participating airports allow travelers to use their Apple Wallet ID at TSA checkpoints, including major airports like LAX, SFO, and ATL.

Apple also announced that Wallet IDs will soon be accepted for CLEAR member enrollment at airports.

Apple encourages travelers to check TSA signage for availability and visit the TSA website for more details.
