Google Pixel has officially partnered with the Australian Open, becoming the tournament’s “official smartphone.”

This collaboration brings attention to several standout features of the Pixel, including Gemini, Circle to Search, Magic Eraser, and Magic Editor.

Key Features Highlighted:

  • Gemini: A virtual assistant that provides instant answers, from match schedules to local dining options. It allows users to engage in natural conversations about the game.
  • Circle to Search: Snap a photo, circle the image or text, and let Pixel find relevant information.
  • Magic Eraser: Easily remove distractions in photos, such as unwanted objects or photobombers.
  • Magic Editor: AI tools to enhance and perfect photos taken during the Australian Open.

Additionally, a “Google Pixel Studio” has been set up at the Rod Laver Arena for attendees to experience the Pixel 9 Pro firsthand.

Visitors can capture action shots and use advanced AI editing tools like Magic Editor to create share-worthy images.

The Pixel Studio will be open from January 12 to 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. AEDT. The Australian Google Store will also offer sales and enhanced trade-ins during this period.

This partnership follows Google’s previous collaborations with major sports events, including the NBA, NWSL, UEFA European Championships, and more.
