Netflix ― Missing You

Netflix’s latest Harlan Coben adaptation, Missing You, is a gripping five-part thriller that keeps viewers on edge from start to finish.

Set in the U.K., the series follows Detective Inspector Kat Donovan (Rosalind Eleazar), who works in the Missing Persons department.

Kat is focused on her career, but her personal life takes a turn when she stumbles upon the dating profile of her ex-fiancé Josh (Ashley Walters), who ghosted her years ago. This unexpected encounter forces Kat to confront long-buried emotions.

At the same time, Kat is dealing with the news that the man who killed her father, Monte Leburne (Marc Warren), is dying of cancer.

With her father’s death still haunting her, Kat is determined to get answers from Monte. As she digs into two bizarre missing persons cases, the series explores themes of loss, love, and the impact of past trauma on the present.

Missing You is a beautifully paced show, with each scene and line of dialogue serving a purpose. It delves into how communities and friendships shape our perceptions of good and evil.

As Kat unravels the mysteries surrounding Josh’s disappearance and her father’s death, she uncovers deeper, more sinister secrets. The show’s emotional depth, along with its unpredictable twists, makes it an exhilarating watch.

With strong performances, especially from Eleazar as Kat and Steve Pemberton as the sinister Titus, Missing You is a thrilling and emotional puzzle that keeps viewers guessing until the very end.
