Samsung is reportedly set to launch the Galaxy Z Flip7 in July 2025, and new rumors suggest that it will be the first foldable device to feature the company’s in-house Exynos 2500 chipset.
This comes from a report by Korean outlet The Elec, which cites a “high-ranking Samsung Electronics official” confirming the news.
Exynos 2500 Chipset Details
The Exynos 2500 is expected to be built using Samsung’s second-generation SF3 3nm process.
The chip will reportedly feature a 10-core CPU with impressive specs: a 3.3 GHz prime core, two big cores at 2.75 GHz, five big cores at 2.36 GHz, and two efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz.
The chipset will also include the Xclipse 950 GPU, based on AMD’s RDNA architecture, offering enhanced graphical performance.
Production and Availability
The Exynos 2500 is expected to enter mass production in early 2025. Samsung is aiming to produce 229.4 million smartphones in 2025, with the Z Fold7 projected to account for 3 million units.
Additionally, a rumored Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to contribute around 900,000 units to the total production.
This move to Exynos could mark a significant shift for Samsung’s foldable lineup, as it would be the first time the company uses its own chipset in its foldable devices.
