Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming sci-fi thriller, Cassandra, set to premiere on February 6, 2025.

The series revolves around a family that moves into a beautiful vintage home, only to discover that it’s not quite as abandoned as they thought.

Instead, the house is still inhabited by Cassandra, a smart assistant with eyes in every room, giving the show its name.

The teaser hints at a darker twist, as the smart assistant may not be as innocent or helpful as it initially seems.

While the plot remains somewhat mysterious, the tone of the trailer suggests this won’t be a light-hearted drama.

Instead, viewers can expect a sci-fi thriller with elements of suspense and possibly violence, as indicated by the show’s 15 rating in the UK, which often aligns with R-rated content in the US.

Aesthetic and Design

The mid-century modern design of the home and the robots in the show evoke a Fallout-like vibe, blending retro-futurism with a sense of unease.

One standout feature is the red-clad robot that serves as Cassandra’s physical manifestation, complete with a display for a face, adding to the show’s eerie aesthetic.

What to Expect

While Netflix is keeping many details under wraps, it’s clear that Cassandra will deliver a sci-fi thriller with plenty of suspense and a potentially terrifying storyline.

With its German-language origin, the show also contributes to Netflix’s growing library of non-English content.

Mark your calendars for February 6, 2025, and add Cassandra to your watchlist!
