The full specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra have been leaked ahead of its expected release in early 2025.
While the phone promises impressive performance, it doesn’t bring a radical shift compared to its predecessor, the S24 Ultra.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch QHD LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and up to 16 GB of RAM.
The phone will also offer up to 1 TB of storage, a 200 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide, 50 MP telephoto, and a 12 MP front selfie camera.
The 5,000 mAh battery will support 45W wired charging, and the device will run Android 15 with One UI 7.
The most significant changes from the previous model are the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the increase in RAM to 16 GB, and the improved 50 MP ultrawide camera.
The additional RAM is likely aimed at improving the Galaxy AI experience, which will feature a revamped Bixby assistant powered by large language models (LLM). This is intended to compete with Apple Intelligence and give the iPhone 16 a run for its money.
However, many of the core features remain the same as the S24 Ultra, including the display, battery, and charging speeds.
The design is also similar, with the S25 Ultra returning to rounded edges, which may appeal to some users.
Unless the sharper corners of the S24 Ultra were a significant issue for you, the S25 Ultra might feel more like an incremental upgrade rather than a groundbreaking change.
For those already owning the S24 Ultra, the S25 Ultra may not offer enough of a leap to justify an upgrade.
However, for those seeking a new flagship experience, it will still be one of the most powerful phones available.
