GTA 6 Fans Speculate After Rockstar Skips Christmas Screenshot Reveal

GTA 6 fans were disappointed on Christmas Eve 2024 when Rockstar Games broke a 15-year tradition.

In the past, Rockstar released screenshots for upcoming games during Christmas Eve, including GTA 4 in 2007 and GTA 5 in 2012. Fans expected the same for GTA 6, but no screenshots were shared.

Instead, Rockstar released a new update for Red Dead Online on December 24, 2024. This left fans speculating and sharing reactions online.

One fan, Souri (X/@JustSouri), expressed frustration, saying Rockstar’s president, Sam Houser, might be delaying the next trailer as part of “interactive storytelling.” Another fan, Eric (X/@EricFC100), worried that the lack of updates could mean delays for GTA 6.

Some fans stayed hopeful. Bloodline4ever (X/@ShadyMo34239931) believed new details would come when least expected.

Others pointed to the “Number 27 Theory,” speculating that Rockstar might release something significant on December 27, 2024. This theory gained traction after Rockstar adjusted its Instagram posts to total 27.

However, not all fans are convinced. QueenOfVC (X/@CursedX2000) urged others to stop assuming Rockstar’s plans based on past actions, saying, “We shouldn’t assume their every move based on decisions they’ve made in the past.”

With the next GTA 6 trailer expected soon, fans are eager to see what Rockstar has planned. For now, the wait continues.
