MrBeast, the world’s most-followed YouTuber, has taken Amazon Prime by storm with his new competition series Beast Games.
The first two episodes, released on December 19, 2024, have already catapulted the show to the #1 spot on Amazon Prime’s most-watched list.
The series, created and hosted by Jimmy Donaldson (aka MrBeast), features 1,000 contestants battling for a record-breaking $5 million grand prize, the largest ever awarded on a competition show.
In just two episodes, Beast Games has shattered six Guinness World Records, including:
- Most contestants on a competition show
- Most cameras used in a production
- Most cables used in a production
- Largest island given away as a prize
- Most money given away in a single episode
The first episode introduced the $14 million custom-built city where the competition takes place and reduced the contestant pool from 1,000 to 493. Episode two further narrowed the field to around 300 contestants.
MrBeast has teased that the show will break over 50 Guinness World Records by the end of its ten-episode run.
