Microsoft Moves to AI-Focused Microsoft 365, Phases Out My Day Feature

Microsoft has announced that it will retire the My Day feature in the Microsoft 365 app for Enterprise users, starting in January 2025. This change is part of the company’s shift towards an AI-first experience.

The My Day feature, currently accessible via the calendar icon in the Microsoft 365 app, shows users their daily calendar and to-do list items.

However, Microsoft has not shared details about what the app will look like after this change.

The company mentioned that the Microsoft 365 app will become the “destination for Copilot for Work,” with AI-powered productivity tools available in the new Copilot tab. It’s unclear whether My Day will be replaced by something similar.

This move aligns with Microsoft’s broader strategy to integrate AI into its products. While tools like GitHub Copilot have boosted productivity, the integration of AI into Windows, web browsers, and mobile apps has raised questions about redundancy.

The change will also impact web endpoints such as www.m365.cloud.microsoft, www.microsoft365.com, and www.office.com.

However, other apps like Outlook, To-Do, and Calendar will not be affected.
