Lenovo’s upcoming ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 has been revealed in new renders, showcasing an innovative design that introduces a second screen.
The new laptop, set to be unveiled at CES 2025, allows users to extend their display by sliding out an additional screen from the back of the device.
This marks a significant leap in laptop design, offering more screen real estate without the need for a foldable or rollable display.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5, which combined a tablet and laptop in one device.
However, the new model focuses on a unique solution to the challenge of adding extra screen space. The secondary display is mounted on a rail system, providing an easy way to extend the screen without taking up additional space when not in use.
Leaker Evan Blass shared the renders, showing the dual screens mounted side-by-side, with one attached to a slider. While this isn’t a foldable display like those seen in some other recent innovations, it represents a fresh approach to expanding laptop displays.
Specifications for the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 are still unclear, but it is expected to feature either an Intel Arrow Lake-H or AMD Strix/Krackan Point processor.
