The ongoing tension between Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar over their Super Bowl fallout has taken another turn.

While Lil Wayne recently clarified their issues were resolved, Joe Budden claims there’s more to the story.

On his podcast, Budden revealed that Lil Wayne’s account of their conversation with Kendrick left out key details. He alleged that Wayne reached out to Kendrick before the release of Wacced Out Murals, a track widely believed to reference the New Orleans rapper.

Despite their discussion, Kendrick released the song, prompting Wayne to consider a response track.

Budden further claimed that Kendrick ignored Wayne’s attempts to reconnect after the release, fueling the conflict.

Lil Wayne’s Version

Lil Wayne previously stated on The Skip Bayless Show that he hadn’t heard the song before speaking with Kendrick, describing the conversation as positive.

He dismissed the feud, emphasizing mutual respect:
“I think he’s a fan, and I’m a fan of his music. He didn’t let me down.”

However, fans noted inconsistencies, pointing to a tweet Wayne posted after the song’s release:
“Man *** I do?! I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness.”

The Fallout

Wayne’s tweets hinted at lingering frustration, warning:
“Let this giant sleep. No one really wants destruction, not even me, but I shall destroy if disturbed.”

As tensions continue to rise, fans await further developments in this high-profile feud.
