Google Play Store Gets New Look: Wavy Bars, Blue Stars, and More

Google is working on some new visual changes for the Play Store, though they are still in development.

A recent teardown of the Play Store app reveals a few tweaks that could be coming soon. These include wavy progress bars, blue review stars, new fonts, and updated warning messages.

Currently, these changes are not visible in the public Play Store release, but they show what Google is experimenting with.

The most noticeable change is the new wavy design for progress indicators, similar to the media player UI. It’s visually striking and could make app installations feel faster.

Other changes include blue stars for app reviews instead of the usual black, and a new font for review text.

Warning notices might also get a makeover, with dark text in colored boxes instead of the current white background.

While these updates are minor, they offer a glimpse into the future of the Play Store’s design. We’ll have to wait and see if these tweaks make it to the public version of the app.
