Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event for 2025 is scheduled for January 22, with the unveiling of the Galaxy S25 series.
According to a leak from tipster Alvin on X (formerly Twitter), the event will kick off at 10 AM PT (1 PM ET) in San Jose, California. This marks the beginning of Samsung’s annual tradition of launching its flagship S series phones at the start of the year.
The event will showcase the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, while many were hoping for a major reveal of Samsung’s Project Moohan Android XR headset, it appears the device won’t be fully launched at this event.
Instead, Samsung will likely tease Project Moohan, providing hints about its marketing name and a possible launch timeframe. The headset, expected to release in 2025, could be unveiled alongside Samsung’s foldable phones later in the year, possibly around July.
This leak gives us a glimpse of what’s to come at the event, but it also hints at a strategic move by Samsung to keep the spotlight on its flagship phones, avoiding any overshadowing by the new XR device.
