Gemini for Android

Google has updated the Gemini website and Android app with new features. The website now has a new text field design, and the Android app includes model information.

On the Gemini website, the text field has been updated to match the mobile app. The “plus” icon, or the “Upload Image” button, now appears first on the left side.

For Advanced subscribers, this menu allows them to upload images, files, access their Drive, and Code folder.

Next, the “Ask Gemini” option from October is now displayed in the text field. The microphone icon has also been filled in, and the text box is now outlined with a thin line, instead of being raised. This change is available to all users.

Meanwhile, the Gemini Android app now shows model information. On the homepage, users can see “Gemini Advanced” followed by “1.5 Pro” or “Gemini” with “1.5 Flash.” In conversations, “1.5 Pro” replaces “Gemini Advanced.”

Lastly, Google added a “Saved info” section to the account menu. When clicked, it opens a new browser window with saved information at gemini.google.com/saved-info.
