NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, has pleaded guilty to gun possession charges and was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison.

This ruling comes after a complex settlement with prosecutors addressing his remaining criminal cases, including those stemming from his 2020 arrest in Louisiana and a recent charge in Utah.

The 24-year-old rapper was arrested in Louisiana during a music video shoot in 2020, where he was found in possession of two firearms.

Additionally, he was later charged in Utah following a raid on his home in May 2024, where authorities discovered a semi-automatic pistol and evidence of his involvement in a prescription drug fraud scheme.

Although he faced up to 15 years in prison, his legal team negotiated a 23-month sentence, with credit for time already served. Gaulden will also serve five years of probation upon his release.

NBA YoungBoy rose to fame with his 2015 mixtape Life Before Fame and most recently released his sixth studio album, Don’t Try This At Home, in 2023.
