macOS Sequoia 15.2 is set to roll out next week, bringing a range of exciting new features to your Mac.

Apple has published the full release notes, detailing what’s coming in this update.

New Features in macOS Sequoia 15.2

  • Image Playground: A new app for creating fun images from your photo library using concepts, descriptions, and people. It supports multiple styles and syncs across all devices with iCloud.
  • ChatGPT Support: Direct integration of ChatGPT from OpenAI in Siri and Writing Tools. You can compose from scratch or use Siri for relevant answers. No account is required, and all requests are anonymous.
  • Writing Tools: You can now suggest rewrites in various formats, like poems, using natural language processing.

App and System Updates

  • Photos: The Favorites album is now in the Utilities collection, and Recently Viewed and Recently Shared albums can be cleared.
  • Safari: New customizable background images for the Start Page, HTTPS upgrade for security, and easier import/export for history, bookmarks, and passwords.
  • Apple Music & TV: Natural language search allows you to find content by categories like genres, moods, actors, and decades.
  • Podcasts: Access your favorite categories and curated collections with the new Personalized Search page.
  • Weather: Current weather conditions are now accessible directly from the menu bar.

Additional Features

  • Find My: Share the location of AirTags and other accessories securely with trusted third parties, like airlines.
  • Sudoku: Available for News+ subscribers with three difficulty levels.
  • Stocks: Pre-market price quotes for tracking NASDAQ and NYSE tickers.
  • Presenter Preview: Choose to share either an app or your entire screen when using AirPlay or an external display.

What’s Missing

  • Genmoji and the Mail app redesign, both part of iOS 18.2, won’t be available on Mac yet. They’re expected in a future update, potentially macOS 15.3.

The update promises to enhance the overall Mac experience with better customization, integration, and performance improvements. What feature are you most excited about? Let us know!
