The Blue Dragon Film Awards has faced backlash after posting a social media video that seemed to support actor Jung Woo-sung amid a controversy involving his personal life.

The post, which included the hashtags #BlueDragon’sSincerity and #JungWooSung’sSincerity, was uploaded on Saturday but quickly sparked mixed reactions. It was later edited to remove the hashtags.

Jung Woo-sung, who is confirmed to be the father of model Moon Ga-bi’s child born out of wedlock, addressed the controversy during the awards ceremony on Friday. He stated, “I will shoulder all the criticism and fulfill my responsibilities as a father,” aiming to keep his personal issues from overshadowing his film, 12.12: The Day.

The post drew criticism, with many questioning why the Blue Dragon Film Awards disabled comments and appeared to be overly protective of Jung.

Users on social media expressed frustration over the perceived bias, leading the awards’ Instagram account to edit the post and remove the hashtags by Monday.

The controversy deepened when the Blue Dragon Film Awards was also criticized for not acknowledging the late actress Kim Soo-mi, who passed away in October. The lack of tribute further fueled public disapproval.
