Katy Perry Marks Major Milestone with Teenage Dream’s 400 Weeks on the Charts

Katy Perry has reached a remarkable milestone, as her iconic album Teenage Dream becomes the first in her career to spend 400 weeks on the Billboard 200.

Despite the success of this album, Perry’s 2024 comeback hasn’t been as fruitful. Her latest release, 143, quickly faltered on the charts, disappearing after just two weeks.

Teenage Dream, which is widely regarded as one of the best pop albums ever, has maintained its presence on the Billboard 200 thanks to its enduring hits, including “Firework,” “California Gurls,” and the title track.

The album recently moved another 9,800 equivalent units, largely from streaming, and now sits at No. 147 on the chart.

This achievement marks a significant contrast to 143, which debuted at No. 6 but failed to make a lasting impact. Perry’s career still thrives on the back of Teenage Dream, with Prism being her second-longest-charting album at just over 100 weeks.

Despite the setbacks, Perry’s legacy continues to be shaped by her earlier successes.
