Rosé of Blackpink has made history with her new solo single, “Apt.,” tying her bandmate Jennie for the highest position ever reached by a South Korean solo female artist on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart.
“Apt.,” which features Bruno Mars, has been climbing steadily and now sits at No. 18 on the chart, a historic peak that Jennie first achieved with her track “One of the Girls” less than a year ago.
The song debuted on the chart and has continued to rise, making Rosé the second solo South Korean female artist to reach this milestone.
While Rosé and Jennie hold the record for solo female artists, they are still behind Psy and Jung Kook, both of whom have reached even higher positions on the chart with their respective hits.
Rosé’s success with “Apt.” looks set to continue, as the song’s popularity across various metrics, including streams and sales, shows no signs of slowing down.
With its continued ascent, Rosé may soon surpass Jennie’s peak, cementing her place in Billboard history.
