OpenAI Suspends Sora After Artists Leak Tool in Protest

OpenAI has paused access to its unreleased video generation tool, Sora, following a leak by a group of artists.

These artists, granted early access to the tool, protested against what they felt was unfair treatment.

They accused OpenAI of exploiting their unpaid labor to boost the company’s image.

Around 20 artists argued that they were used as “PR puppets” without compensation, prompting the company to suspend access to the highly anticipated tool.
