NVIDIA is preparing to launch its next-generation GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card, with a China-specific variant called the RTX 5090D also in development. According to rumors, both cards may share nearly identical specifications.

The RTX 5090D is expected to be designed to comply with US export regulations, similar to previous China-specific models.

However, unlike the previous RTX 4090D, this new variant might retain the same core configuration as the global version.

Rumored specifications suggest the card could feature:

  • Up to 21,760 GPU cores
  • 32 GB of GDDR7 memory
  • Clock speeds around 2.9 GHz
  • Similar performance to the global RTX 5090

Both variants are expected to launch in January 2025, with identical pricing. The card is part of NVIDIA’s upcoming Blackwell GPU architecture, which promises significant performance improvements over the previous generation.

The RTX 5090 represents a potential 33% performance increase over the previous RTX 4090, with improvements in core count, memory bandwidth, and power efficiency.

Enthusiasts and gamers are awaiting further official details about the new graphics card lineup.
