Wolfs’ Sequel Canceled After Director’s Fallout with Apple

Wolfs (Apple TV+ Film)

The sequel to Wolfs, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, has been canceled after director Jon Watts said he no longer trusted Apple as a creative partner.

Watts announced on Friday, revealing that Apple’s decision to scale back its movie strategy led to the cancellation.

Wolfs was originally meant for a larger theatrical release, but it only had a limited one-week run in theaters before hitting Apple TV+.

Watts explained that he was blindsided by Apple’s shift in strategy, which came without any prior explanation or discussion.

He also revealed that Apple had announced the sequel in a press release, despite his request not to include the news, seemingly to create a positive spin on their streaming pivot.

In response, Watts returned the funding for the sequel and decided to cancel the project altogether.
