Turbo Series to Replace K Series as Redmi’s Flagship Line

Lu Weibing, Xiaomi’s President of the Mobile Phone Division, announced that the new Turbo series will succeed the K series as Redmi’s performance-focused flagship lineup. The K series, starting with the K80 lineup, will evolve to compete more aggressively in the e-commerce market with enhanced innovations.

Key Turbo Series Highlights:

  • Positioned as Redmi’s top-performing and cost-effective series.
  • Builds on the legacy of the K series while introducing cutting-edge performance features.

Redmi K80 Pro: A New Flagship Standard

Launching on November 27, 2024, the Redmi K80 Pro sets a new benchmark for the K series, featuring:

  • Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0: Improved durability and scratch resistance.
  • Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor: Reliable unlocking, even with wet hands.
  • Hole-Free Top Design: A premium aesthetic shared with Xiaomi’s 15 series.
  • Infrared Remote Control: Integrated into the lens module for a seamless design.
