Honor MagicOS 9

Honor has kicked off the public beta for MagicOS 9.0, its customized version of Android 15. The update is now available for more devices after an initial rollout to the Magic 6 series last week.

Users interested in testing the beta can enroll through the My Honor app, where they can experience new features and provide feedback.

Supported Devices for the Beta

The second beta is open to a wider range of smartphones, including:

  • Honor Magic V3
  • Honor Magic Vs3
  • Honor Magic V2, V2 Ultimate, V2 RSR Porsche Design
  • Honor Magic 5, 5 Pro, 5 Ultimate
  • Honor Magic 6, 6 Pro, 6 Ultimate, 6 RSR Porsche Design

How to Join the Beta Program

To join the beta program, follow these steps:

  1. Open the My Honor app on your phone.
  2. Navigate to: Club > MagicOS 9.0 > Upgrade to try > Public beta application.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to register.

Make sure your phone is already running the baseline version of MagicOS before upgrading. Also, ensure you have at least 10 GB of free storage to avoid upgrade issues.

Important Notes

Since this is a beta version, it’s advisable to back up your data before installing. If you decide to exit the beta program, rolling back to a stable version of MagicOS will erase all user data.

The update rollout began on November 13, and those who register should receive the beta as an OTA (over-the-air) update.

Honor encourages users to explore the new features and share their feedback to help improve MagicOS 9.0 before the stable version launches.
