Netflix has unveiled the first look at Barry Keoghan in the highly anticipated Peaky Blinders movie, set to continue the saga of Birmingham’s notorious gang.
The reveal comes amid excitement surrounding the film, which features Keoghan donning the iconic flat cap and leather jacket, leaning out of a truck with a contemplative expression.
Keoghan, known for his roles in Saltburn and The Banshees of Inisherin, expressed his admiration for the series and its star, Cillian Murphy, who reprises his role as Tommy Shelby.
“I’m a massive fan of the show,” Keoghan stated, highlighting his eagerness to immerse himself in the character. The film is set during World War II and promises to be an “epic continuation” of the beloved series, originally airing from 2013 to 2022.
Alongside Murphy and Keoghan, the cast includes Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Roth, with series creator Steven Knight returning as writer and producer. While specific plot details remain under wraps, Knight has hinted at intertwining storylines that will explore new dimensions within the Peaky Blinders universe.
Fans can expect a cinematic experience that leverages a larger budget compared to the original series. As production continues in the UK, anticipation builds for what promises to be a thrilling addition to the Peaky Blinders legacy.
