Emerging reports indicate that Realme is set to introduce its 300W wired charging technology for smartphones. This announcement comes amidst a competitive landscape where other Chinese manufacturers, such as Redmi, have previously showcased similar capabilities.

Redmi’s 300W charging technology was first revealed in February 2023, promising to fully charge a 4,100 mAh battery in under five minutes, yet no devices utilizing this technology have been released to date.

While Realme’s announcement may serve as a technology showcase rather than an immediate product launch, the company has made strides in fast charging, recently featuring 240W wired charging in its GT5 and GT Neo 5 models.

Additionally, the upcoming Realme GT7 Pro is expected to include an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, along with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The wired charging race has cooled recently, but the introduction of 300W charging technology by Realme could reignite interest in rapid charging solutions.

As manufacturers continue to push the limits of charging speeds, consumers may soon see advancements that significantly reduce charging times for smartphones.
