A new app called Openvibe has just been released. It makes it easier for people to use different social media networks (fediverse) all in one place.
Openvibe lets you see posts from Mastodon, Bluesky, and Nostr all together. You can also post to all these networks at the same time. The app is free and works on iPhones and Android phones.
Matej Svancer, who leads the team that made Openvibe, says they created it because it was hard to keep up with all the new social networks. He hopes this app will make it simpler for people to use these newer, more open social media platforms.
The app comes at a time when many people are trying out alternatives to Twitter (now called X) after Elon Musk bought it in 2022. However, it’s been difficult for users to manage accounts on multiple new networks.
Openvibe plans to add support for Meta’s Threads app soon. The company might charge for some features in the future to make money.
This app could change how people use these newer social networks by making them all accessible in one place.
