Samsung is set to shake up the tech world this summer with its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 in Paris.
The company is expected to unveil a slew of new devices, including its highly anticipated Galaxy Ring, the latest foldable smartphones, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds.
Galaxy Ring: Samsung’s Foray into Smart Rings
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is the company’s most intriguing upcoming device, marking its entry into the smart ring category. Slated for release in or around August, the Galaxy Ring will be available in three colors – platinum silver, gold, and ceramic black – and multiple sizes.
The ring will measure heart rate, movement, and breathing to help track sleep and support fertility tracking. It will also be able to pair with a Galaxy Watch for more accurate health data.
Foldables: Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6
Samsung is likely to unveil its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, at the event. While the updates are expected to be relatively minor, the Z Flip 6 is rumored to get a battery capacity increase, RAM upgrade, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Z Fold 6 is expected to have the same screen size and thickness as its predecessor, with a potential cover screen upgrade.
Smartwatches: Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra
The Galaxy Watch 7 is expected to feature a 3nm chipset for improved efficiency and performance, along with upgraded health sensors and AI-powered features like sleep tracking and smart replies.
Samsung may also unveil the Galaxy Watch Ultra, a more premium offering with a chunkier design, rectangular case with a round watch face, and a digital crown-style dial and button combination instead of a rotating bezel. The Watch Ultra is rumored to be priced at $700.
Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
Samsung is likely to introduce the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro at the event, featuring a stem design similar to Apple’s AirPods. The Buds 3 Pro is expected to have a two-way speaker for richer audio, adaptive noise control, blade lights, and ambient sound. Both models will have an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance and support for SmartThings Find.
