Former 2NE1 member Park Bom has filed a lawsuit against YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun-suk, accusing him of fraud and embezzlement involving an enormous sum of money.
On her Instagram, Park Bom revealed the lawsuit documents, naming herself as the plaintiff and Yang Hyun-suk as the defendant. She wrote, “The defendant has not paid me the profits that I should have rightfully received for a long time. I want a thorough investigation and legal punishment for this.”
According to Park Bom, Yang Hyun-suk failed to pay her earnings from all her professional activities — including music releases, performances, broadcasts, advertisements, events, songwriting, and composition.
She claimed the unpaid profits amount to approximately 642.72 trillion won, a figure that has shocked fans and the public. Industry observers say the number appears unrealistic and exaggerated, but it highlights the extent of her accusations against the former YG founder.
Park Bom also alleged that YG Entertainment never provided proper settlement details and that she received no transparent payment for her work. She said these actions caused her “severe economic loss and mental damage.”
YG Entertainment has not yet issued an official statement in response to the lawsuit. Park Bom’s current agency, D-Nation Entertainment, told Korean media that the singer acted independently and that the company is reviewing the situation.
Meanwhile, Park Bom has been on hiatus from 2NE1 activities due to health issues. In August, her agency announced she would take time off following medical advice to rest and recover.
