12 Game-Changing Features Coming to iPhone 17 Pro This Fall

Apple will release the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max in about three months. Multiple sources have shared details about 12 major changes coming to these phones.

The biggest change is the frame material. Apple will switch from titanium back to aluminum for the iPhone 17 Pro models. The back will combine aluminum and glass in a new design.

The camera system gets several upgrades. Apple will add a large rectangular camera bump with rounded corners. The front camera jumps from 12 megapixels to 24 megapixels. The rear telephoto camera increases from 12 megapixels to 48 megapixels.

New camera features include dual video recording, which lets users record with front and back cameras at the same time. Apple may also add 8K video recording capability.

The phones will run on Apple’s new A19 Pro chip made with an improved 3nm process. This should provide better performance and battery life. All iPhone 17 models will get 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB in current phones.

Apple will include its own Wi-Fi 7 chip instead of using Broadcom’s chips. The iPhone 17 Pro Max will be slightly thicker to fit a larger battery.

The phones will come in a new Sky Blue color, similar to the latest MacBook Air. Apple will also improve cooling with internal design changes and possibly a vapor chamber system.

These changes represent some of the biggest updates to iPhone Pro models in recent years. The switch from titanium to aluminum and the camera upgrades are the most significant changes.

The iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to launch in September 2025, following Apple’s typical release schedule.
