Fans of ENHYPEN have launched a massive online campaign after news broke that member Heeseung will leave the group to pursue a solo career.
A Change.org petition asking BELIFT LAB and HYBE to allow Heeseung to do solo work while staying in ENHYPEN has already surpassed 1.23 million signatures in just two days. The petition is written in Korean, Japanese, and English, reflecting the band’s global fanbase.
Supporters say Heeseung is “essential” to ENHYPEN and urge the label to let him balance solo projects with group activities. Many fans point to other K-pop idols who manage both successfully.
BELIFT LAB released a statement explaining their decision. They said focusing fully on a solo career is “the most fulfilling approach” for both Heeseung and the group. Heeseung also shared a personal letter thanking fans and promising to return stronger in the future.
The timing has added to fan concern. ENHYPEN had just scheduled fan-call events where all seven members were expected to participate. Heeseung’s calls were postponed while the remaining six members went ahead.
Heeseung is one of ENHYPEN’s most versatile performers. He is a singer, dancer, pianist, guitarist, songwriter, and composer. He co-wrote tracks on their recent album THE SIN : VANISH, which sold over 2 million copies worldwide.
Despite the split, Heeseung reassured fans that he will continue supporting ENHYPEN while pursuing solo music. Fans are now waiting to see how the label responds to the overwhelming petition.
