The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 has been Samsung’s flagship foldable phone, but it’s about to face tough competition from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is expected to launch in January. Here’s a comparison of the two devices based on what we know so far.

Display and Design

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 offers a unique dual AMOLED display setup with a 6.3-inch external screen and a 7.6-inch internal display. Both screens have a 120Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for multitasking.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a more traditional design but with a larger, high-quality display.

Performance

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, delivering superior performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy in the Z Fold 6.

The S25 Ultra also boasts up to 16GB of RAM, providing smoother multitasking. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, however, offers impressive performance with 12GB of RAM and still holds up with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

Camera

In terms of camera specs, the S25 Ultra has a major advantage with a 200MP main camera, 10MP telephoto lens, and 50MP ultrawide lens.

The Z Fold 6, while strong with a 50MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide, lacks the advanced zoom capabilities of the S25 Ultra. However, the Z Fold 6 shines with its dual selfie cameras, offering more flexibility for self-portraits.

Battery and S Pen

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery, while the Z Fold 6 has a smaller 4,400mAh battery. Both devices support the S Pen, but the S25 Ultra will include it in the box, while the Z Fold 6 requires an optional case for S Pen storage.

Price

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 starts at $1,899, making it one of the most expensive phones on the market. The S25 Ultra, however, is expected to be priced lower, possibly starting around $1,349, offering more value for the features.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is set to outperform the Z Fold 6 in key areas like processing power, camera quality, and battery life.

However, the Z Fold 6 still offers unparalleled flexibility with its foldable design, making it a unique choice for those looking for a phone and tablet in one.

If you’re after speed and power, the S25 Ultra might be the better option, but if you need a foldable with more versatility, the Z Fold 6 remains a top contender.
