The controversial Grand Theft Auto 6 parody game, Grand Taking Ages, is back after being pulled from the PlayStation Store by Sony.

The game, which pokes fun at the long wait for GTA 6, is now available on Steam after undergoing significant updates to meet the platform’s guidelines.

Initially, Grand Taking Ages was removed from the PlayStation Store following concerns over its use of AI-generated art and its resemblance to Rockstar’s iconic GTA imagery.

The parody game, which centers around managing a game development studio, now features updated artwork and descriptions to better differentiate itself from its GTA inspiration.

The developer, Violarte, explained that they worked closely with Valve to ensure the game met Steam’s requirements, unlike their previous approach with Sony.

The game now includes a fresh trailer and screenshots, emphasizing its satirical nature. Despite this, generative AI is still used in the game, including for voiceovers, which Violarte disclosed on the Steam page.

Violarte is now seeking to have Grand Taking Ages reinstated on the PlayStation Store, citing the changes made to the game as a reason it was approved by Valve. The developer believes the adjustments will resolve the issues Sony raised previously.

Meanwhile, the real GTA 6 is set to launch in the fall of 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
