DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot earned 10 nominations for the 52nd Annie Awards, leading the feature film competition.
The awards celebrate excellence in animation and will take place on February 8, 2025, at UCLA’s Royce Hall.
Other top nominees include Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out 2 and Aardman/Netflix’s Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, with seven nominations each. Locksmith Animation’s That Christmas followed with six nominations.

Notable Snubs
While The Wild Robot leads the pack, it was notably left out of the writing category. Disney’s Moana 2 also missed out on nominations for Best Feature, Writing, and Directing, earning only four nods in total.
Voice Acting Nominations
In the voice acting category, Lupita Nyong’o (The Wild Robot) and Maya Hawke (Inside Out 2) received nominations.
Other nominees include Brian Tyree Henry (Transformers One) and Mélinée Leclerc (Chicken for Linda!).
Special Awards
The Annie Awards will also honour individuals and organizations for contributions to animation:
- Winsor McCay Awards: Aaron Blaise, Eunice Macaulay (posthumous), Normand Roger
- June Foray Award: Women in Animation
- Ub Iwerks Award: Alberto Menache for technical innovation
