Gabbard Vows to Release More Files on Alleged Obama-Era ‘Coup’ Against Trump

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard says she will release more classified documents next week related to what she calls a “years-long coup attempt” against President Donald Trump.

Gabbard claims the new documents will provide further details about how, according to her, officials in the Obama administration set the stage for the Trump-Russia collusion investigation after the 2016 election.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Gabbard said, “We will be releasing more detailed information about how exactly this took place, and the extent to which this information was hidden from the American people and from officials who could have acted on it.”

Gabbard has already made public a September 2016 intelligence report that suggested foreign adversaries, including Russia, lacked the capability to carry out widespread and undetected cyberattacks on U.S. election systems. At the time, the Obama administration and media outlets were raising alarms about alleged Russian interference, including the hacking of Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails.

She expressed disbelief that special counsels Robert Mueller and John Durham, who led previous investigations into the matter, did not uncover what she describes as clear evidence of misconduct. “I really cannot fathom how they missed this,” Gabbard said. “The only logical conclusion is that there was an intent to cover up the truth about what happened.”

Both Mueller and Durham concluded their investigations with findings that did not result in major charges related to Trump-Russia collusion. Mueller reported insufficient evidence of coordination between Trump’s campaign and Russia, while Durham issued a report criticizing the FBI’s handling of the probe but pursued no significant prosecutions.

Gabbard called for new investigations, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, into what she describes as a “seditious conspiracy.” She stated that indictments must follow, regardless of the political status of those involved at the time.

“There must be accountability, action, prosecution, and indictments for those who tried to steal our democracy,” she said. “This is essential for Americans to trust the integrity of our democratic republic.”

Gabbard has not yet released the full list of additional documents but said they will be made public in the coming days.
