Diddy Jury Stuck on Racketeering Count, Verdict Pending on Other Charges

The jury in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial has reached a partial verdict after two days of deliberations. They have decided on four of the five counts but remain deadlocked on the most serious charge: racketeering conspiracy.

The counts with verdicts include two charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion involving two women—Cassie and “Jane”—and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution related to the same women.

However, the jury reported “unpersuadable opinions” on both sides regarding the racketeering conspiracy charge, which alleges that Combs ran a criminal enterprise involved in various crimes over two decades.

Judge Arun Subramanian has instructed the jury to continue deliberating on the racketeering count. Both prosecution and defense requested the judge to encourage the jury to reach a unanimous decision. The judge has said he will not accept a partial verdict, so no final verdict will be read until all counts are resolved.

The trial, which started in early May 2025, has drawn global attention due to the serious nature of the allegations and Combs’ celebrity status. Prosecutors claim Combs used his influence to coerce women into sexual acts with male sex workers while sometimes recording the events. The defense argues the acts were consensual and part of a swinger lifestyle.

Combs, 55, faces a potential life sentence if convicted on all charges. He has pleaded not guilty and chose not to testify during the trial. The jury is expected to resume deliberations soon.
